Probation Violations

A probation violation may occur if you’re currently on probation for a crime and have been charged with a new criminal offense.

You may have a “technical” violation due to not checking in with your probation officer as ordered or being late on your probation payments.

A probation violation may also occur if you have not completed requirements of your probation such as community service hours, substance abuse classes, or anger management classes.

If you are found to have violated your probation, then your probation may be revoked.  If your probation is revoked, then you may have to finish the rest of your sentence incarcerated.
